WWE News: Shane McMahon Escaped A Helicopter Crash 1

The risk taker in the WWE, Shane McMahon has been able to escape a fatal accident in real life. The Smackdown commissioner was travelling in a helicopter on Wednesday morning when it needed an emergency landing on the Atlantic Ocean. As per the reports, Shane was able to evade the situation make it back to the shore, safely.

The reports suggested that one of the creative heads in the WWE boarded on the helicopter with another person. It took off from Westchester County Airport whereas its destination is unknown. At one point, the copter needed an emergency landing due to some technical faults. So, it was forced to land on the water of Gilgo Beach around 10:25 a.m. ET.

According to the Suffolk County Police report, both the survivors were having life jackets which have been extremely helpful to them. The emergency team was also present on the spot after the landing and rescued them without any delay. Both, Shane and his partner were brought to the shore without any harm.

A press conference was arranged by Shane McMahon and the local authorities where they noted about the scary incident. The commissioner was found saying,
“Well, it’s very unsettling when all of a sudden you have something happen. You hear a bang and then you start to say, ‘we’re going to do an emergency landing in the water.’ Yes, it was very unnerving.”

Being a very humble man, as always, Shane McMahon thanked the pilot of the helicopter who was able to hold his nerve and made a safe landing on the Atlantic. This was his grateful comments:

“I would like to thank our pilot, Mario, who did a heroic job of landing us safely in the water, the Suffolk County Marine Bureau who were first on the scene, all the lifeguards who came out to assist us and the Fire Island Coast Guard station.”

Shane also confirmed that he will be present on the Battleground PPV considering that no big mishap occurred during the incident:
“Everyone is safe and sound. I look forward to seeing everyone at WWE Battleground in Philadelphia this Sunday.”
