Shane McMahon suffered a fatal injury, during the Wrestlemania season. He featured in a storyline angle against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It continued for a long time before the feud reached the limit. At one point, the two heels delivered a vicious attack on the Smackdown commissioner.

On that particular episode in March, Owens and Zayn shoved Shane McMahon into the ring post with a steel chair wrapped around his neck. Thereafter, Owens gave a powerbomb to him on a steel base. The younger McMahon was crying in pain when the show went off the air.

Following that, WWE gave us updates about Shane McMahon dealing with some concussions. As per the previous update, his health was not okay, back then. So, there were confusions whether he could perform in the grandest stage of them all.

Despite all the odds, Shane-O-Mac was able to perform at the ‘show of shows’, this year. He formed a dream team by aligning with Daniel Bryan. The force of the two authority figures of Smackdown defeated the Canadian duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It was also the returning match for Bryan.

Afterwards, Shane McMahon went into an indefinite hiatus from the show. The reason of the same is now out, courtesy WWE.com.

According to the updates from the company, he underwent surgery to overcome the health issues.
