WWE News: Shinsuke Nakamura Not Cleared to Wrestle on Live Events
Shinsuke Nakamura could not compete on this past edition of Smackdown Live. The original match card for the show advertised him in a championship match.
It was going to be a dream match for the fans on that night over the United States title. None other than Jeff Hardy was his opponent as per confirmations from Paige.
However, the match never took place. WWE interviewer Dasha Fuentes featured in a pre-Smackdown video to give us bad news. She informed us about an ‘undisclosed’ injury of Nakamura. He was in no condition to compete on the show. Hence the match did not take place from Ontario, California.
WWE Universe was upset about this sudden injury news. Later Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported a police dog bit Nakamura in his leg. It caused in a bizarre injury for the WWE Superstar who could not perform on Smackdown TV for two straight weeks. The same source has now come up with an update on the same.
According to them, WWE doctors are yet to clear the former contender for the WWE Championship. So he could not take part in any of the house shows in the last few days. There’s no concrete update when Nakamura will be back in action. Here are the updates from the source,
“Shinsuke Nakamura still hasn’t been cleared for in-ring competition. Nakamura was set to wrestle at the live events in Japan at Tokyo Sumo Hall this weekend, but he is said to be off the active roster until he is medically cleared, and it remains to be seen whether or not he’ll be cleared in time.”
The injury could not come at a worse point for Nakamura. Currently, the Smackdown roster had headed to his home country of Japan. Any of the local superstars always remain special in these kinds of live events. So the fans will not be happy now that the much-respected superstar is out of the card.
The good news about this injury is that it is reportedly not much severe. So, Nakamura might not have to stay out of competition for a long time. Meanwhile, the Ontario, California police accepted the fact that a canine from their bomb squad bit a WWE superstar at the Rabobank Arena.
The dog entered the gym where the Smackdown superstar was training on Monday. The bit was unfortunate, as the police took immediate steps following this. Nakamura received medical attention. Police also took him to a nearby hospital after primary treatment was over.
