Paige has been suffering from a neck injury for the most of 2016 until she had undergone a neck surgery. Considering that it was a much sensitive one, she was out of action ever since then. She has already missed one and a half year due to this but was able to put herself on the way to a recovery gradually.
But, that’s not the only problem that Paige has dealt in this bygone time. She suffered two wellness policy violations, numerous media leak scandals and even police charges for a couple of occasions which put her career in jeopardy. WWE does not tolerate this kind of misdeeds from a current roster member, and the speculations were that they might fire him from the company.
In the midst of all the rumours around her, the anti-Diva of the WWE found her way back to the company, finally. She posted the biggest update on her comeback by admitting to the WWE performance centre in Orlando, Florida and started training for an in-ring return. The questions were there although, whether he is fully fit and the doctors have already cleared her.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live has been able to give an update on the status of the former Divas Champion. According to him, WWE medical staffs have already checked her neck and gave green signal to it. This is the reason why WWE.com posted an article on her return.

The source also hinted that she might end up being on Smackdown Live since Raw has already grabbed Asuka on their side. Paige was not present on the Superstar Shakeup process and hence been mentioned as a free agent by the WWE.
