One of the most organic feuds of this generation featuring Stephanie McMahon will come to a proper culmination at Wrestlemania 34.
The match will witness the commissioner teaming up with her husband against the team of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey. It is going to be a mouth-watering bout for the fans. For years, they wanted to see Ronda and Stephanie lock horns in a WWE ring.
It started back in the year 2015 when the former UFC bantamweight champion appeared in a one-off segment at Wrestlemania 31. On that night, he featured in a segment alongside The Rock against the two opponents in her debut match in New Orleans. The authority figures of WWE Raw were humiliated by her which is vengeance is the most significant side of this upcoming mixed tag team match.
Meanwhile, this would also mark a huge in-ring return for Stephanie McMahon, herself. At one point, she used to be a full-time wrestler but later she transformed into a part-time performer’s role. She was last seen in a match at Summerslam 2014 against Brie Bella. Before that, it was a gap of over a decade as she competed last against Vince McMahon in Vengeance, 2003.
Recently, the Queen of the Queendom has spoken to mirror.co.uk about the upcoming match at Wrestlemania. She was asked about whether it’s difficult to be back into in-ring competition after a long time. We saw her training harder than ever in a promo that aired on WWE Raw.
The same was reflected in her quotes too on the rigorous gym sessions,
“Jarring is definitely a word I would use. I’ve been training harder than I have ever trained in my life. I have been dieting harder than I ever have in my life and when you consider that I’m also juggling being an executive in WWE from a business perspective, as well as a mom of three girls, 11, nine and seven, I certainly have my work cut out for me. But as a McMahon, I do love a big challenge.”
Stephanie McMahon also noted on WWE finally signing Ronda Rousey under their banner. Mentioning her as the ‘baddest woman on the planet’, she stated she is looking forward to seeing what more the former UFC star does to elevate her level in the WWE. Plus, this is going to be a showcasing debut match for her.
Also, the interviewer asked her about how it would feel like to be a part of Wrestlemania 34. For years now, Stephanie McMahon accompanied her husband, Triple H being in the corner. But, this year around, she would be sharing the ring. So, the boss’ daughter was much excited about this and hoped to deliver to her fullest calibre,
“Now you fast forward to WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in front of over 75,000 people, available in over 180 countries, live in eight different languages on WWE Network… it’s mind-blowing. And when you think about every single performer who wants to be in that ring at WrestleMania and I have the privilege, the unique privilege to be a part of that, I just hope I do my part. I’m overwhelmed. That’s the best word I know how to describe it.”
