WWE News: Stone Cold Steve Austin Speaks Up About Roman Reigns’ Future In The Company
Stone Cold Steve Austin is the one who has always been very vocal about Roman Reigns’ career direction. He was the one who previously asked Vince McMahon to turn him heel to save him from the fans. The fact that the negative reactions towards Reigns keep on growing, every week does not help him, either.
It is yet to be unveiled whether The Boss intends to turn the poster boy into a villain or not. But, Stone Cold once again opened up about the character of Roman Reigns and his future in the company.
He was a special guest on former WWE announcer Lillian Garcia’s podcast, “Making Their Way into the Ring” and nurtured the topic further. While speaking of the future of the Big Dog, the Texas Rattlesnake did note that the lad indeed has the potential to shine even brighter than now:
“I think Roman Reigns is going to be a big star — he’s a star right now, but he’s going to be a big star if he just keeps going down the road that he’s going and he’s going to figure it all out he’s not necessarily just a natural to the business, but he’s very, very good and he’s only going to get better”
The former franchise of the company also pointed out the problems with Roman Reigns. He basically indicated that the weak storylines did the damage to his career. These were his comments.
“You know some of the storylines haven’t been so good and you know when you gotta shove someone down people’s throats they gotta get a gut full of it sometimes and they got a gut full of it because you know maybe some of the lines that they had written for him weren’t the greatest ones ‘I’m not a bad guy, I’m not a good guy, I’m the guy’, kinda corny,”
“Well people watching the business these days, they’re watching what the guys are doing and then they’re thinking about the writing.”
Roman Reigns was supposed to have yet another match against Strowman at Extreme Rules. But, due to the later suffering injury, the immediate future for him is in quite a jeopardy.
