WWE News: Summer Rae Opened Up On Her So-far WWE Career
It has been repeatedly reported that WWE might not have used Summer Rae to her fullest potential. The blonde Diva is not someone new to the world of professional wrestling. In fact, she belongs to the same league to that of The Bella Twins, Natalya and more.
They all came from WWE’s former developmental territory, FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling). Summer Rae used to be a manager for the superstars due to her lack of in-ring skills. But, over the time she increased her competency by going through the rigorous training schedule at the WWE NXT Performance Center.
Despite all the hard training that she has undergone, WWE creative never considered her to be a mainstay performer in the women’s division. She was drafted to WWE Raw during last year’s WWE Draft. But, ever since then she has not appeared on live television.
She was dealing with some neck and back concussions over the span of last year which sidelined her for quite a long time. We could not see her in the latest season of the Total Divas, as well.
As for recent updates, she is cleared by the WWE doctors to make her return to the TV. However, due to lack of appropriate storylines for her, the officials are not sure whether they would like to include her on television tapings or not.
Meanwhile, Summer Rae appeared in an interview with the Sharp Magazine to discuss her WWE career, so far. She was asked about the favourite time of her tenure, so far when quite expectedly she mentioned the storyline along with Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, and Lana. Her promo work was so good in it that she was supposed to get a major push, afterwards. This was her answer in response to the above question:
“That’s a great question. I’ve done a lot of cool things with WWE. I’d say it has to be the most recent one that I had. I joined a love triangle and made it a love square, I guess [laughs], it was me, Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, and Lana. I was really able to showcase what I can do on the microphone through my promos and my acting. I didn’t look at it as a lot of pressure on me, and I was really able to just shine. Those were some of my favourite monologues that I’ve had and the crowds really reacted and got to know me.”
When it comes to her character, she is definitely one of the best heels that WWE has ever witnessed. When asked about the same she pointed that it came naturally to her,
“My character is a very nasty person, and I don’t know how that happened! I never made the conscious decision to be a villain. I naturally became that bitchy, cocky, conceited person when I stepped into the ring, but it is completely far from who I am in real life. It is just more fun to be bad.”
