WWE Raw booked a championship match on last week’s show. It was a rematch from the Extreme Rules PPV event over the Intercontinental title.
Dolph Ziggler is the current champion who defended the title successfully against Seth Rollins. It was an Ironman match where the contest went to sudden death proportion. McIntyre interfered to allow Ziggler to get the pinfall victory with a 5-4 score.
We thought that Seth Rollins would move on to a new feud on WWE Raw, as he is competing in the mid-card title picture for a long time. But there’s no one who ‘burns it down’ on a weekly basis on the show. Undoubtedly, he is the biggest mainstay attraction on the flagship show at this time.
However, it looks like the officials could not find a suitable angle for him for Summerslam. Hence, he will have to stay on the Intercontinental title picture for some time. Last week, he teamed up with Finn Balor to defeat the team of Ziggler and McIntyre, once again. The finishing witnessed him delivering a Curb Stomp on Ziggler for the pinfall.
This automatically earned him another IC championship opportunity. Later, Kurt Angle made it officials for the Summerslam PPV event. Seth Rollins will go one-on-one against the show-off stretching the feud. Some of the fans may not like this repetitive contest which is the main reason that WWE might want to re-book it.
WrestleVotes came up with the same hint in a recent report. The reliable source stated this championship is set to change on WWE Raw. Additional comments suggested it might convert into a multi-person match. It is the most suitable option for the match to make it a bigger attraction on the card.

The source could not drop a hint on the superstars who might end up getting a championship opportunity. Probably, a progress in the storyline will reveal it when WWE Raw comes live tonight. Chances are high that names like Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor or Baron Corbin might get added into the match to make it bigger.
