The speculations are quite high with the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. Ever since the announcement was made, this was a slobber-knocker one from the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.
This garnered all the attention from all around the pro-wrestling universe, as they could barely think of such a path-breaking concept put on by the WWE.
Furthermore, the company intends to break all the barriers between the male and female division. Hence, it also got confirmed that not 15 or 20 instead 30 superstars would be competing in the match. The winner will get the opportunity to challenge either one of the women’s champions present on the main roster at the biggest stage of Wrestlemania.
Now, this confirmed that there are no basic differences from the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match. However, the interesting part comes with the total number being 30. The total number of women’s presence on the main roster is 22 excluding the two champions who will not participate. Hence, eight spots will be filled up with either NXT superstars or former women’s superstars.
This already fuelled up the speculations suggesting which names will be returning in the Royal Rumble match. Previously, Michelle McCool as the one who intended to come back on that historic night.
In addition, some reports also stated that Trish Stratus, Lita or even Stephanie McMahon, herself might get thrown into the mix.
Recently, the betting odds are suggesting that AJ Lee is one of those names to be back onboard in this match. The chances of winning her are quite less, but we never know what to expect in the WWE. Alongside her, Beth Phoenix is the one to be rumoured, as well considering she is back for commentary purposes in the Mixed Match Challenge.
Check out the updates from Sportskeeda.com,
“AJ Lee also makes the list as well which is odd considering her husband CM Punk’s rocky relationship with WWE. Albeit AJ Lee’s odds at 25/1 aren’t good, but they’re the same as Natalya, Brie Bella, Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, and Lita.”
As you can see, Brie Bella is also expected to make her comeback. Nikki Bella might also return to reform the Bella Twins on WWE TV. Currently, Asuka is the favourite one to win the match, whereas, Ronda Rousey is the second favourite which is quite surprising.
