WWE News: Surprise Segments to Take Place on Raw 1

Last week’s WWE Raw was quite exciting that witnessed two unpredictable things. The first one was the return of a former Divas Champion. She was not alone and brought two NXT superstars alongside her to debut them on the show. Plus, there was a championship change on the main event of the night.

Going forward, we expect to see big-time fallout on these two storylines on tonight’s WWE Raw. Roman Reigns was the one who won the Intercontinental Championship. He defeated The Miz via clean pinfall to become a grand slam winner.

According to the updates from WWE.com, he is willing to start an open challenge for his championship. It will be the first time in the history of the company that somebody from the lightweight division will issue such challenge for this particular title. The latest happening on the social media suggested that there’s a surprise name in-store as his first challenge on WWE Raw.

Apparently, a Cruiserweight superstar is willing to answer this on the show, tonight. The incredible athlete, Cedric Alexander hinted on his Twitter post that he intends to compete in the match against Roman Reigns. If this happens, then it would boost up the career of this young talent.

However, we still do not know whether the officials would allow him to do so or not.

Apart from this segment, there is another shocking revelation might be in-store in the other storyline. Paige is expected to be the mastermind behind both the attacks on Raw and Smackdown, last week. It was Ruby Riot who led the team Red on the blue brand. But, the anti-Divas is expected to be the one who had the planning in her mind for quite a long time.

As reported by Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter the officials might have planned this match which will get disclosed by the former champion, herself on the show. However, it is still not clear with the brand split being intact how she can be part of an angle that is stretched on both the shows. Check out the quotes from the source, here,

“I don’t know if this is going to happen, but I heard that one of the ideas they had was that it would come out that Paige was behind both invasions.

How they would do that, I have no idea because there’s a Raw brand and a SmackDown brand [and] it doesn’t make any sense if they’re not doing the inter-brand stuff except during Survivor Series. It would make sense for [the angle] to be exactly the same if Paige were behind it.”
