WWE News: Team Kurt Angle vs Team Shane McMahon to Happen at Survivor Series 1

This week’s edition of Raw and Smackdown Live left a huge fallout on the upcoming Survivor Series PPV event. On the flagship show, Stephanie McMahon returned big time after Wrestlemania 33. Whenever she comes back, she announces some big news which is “best for business”. This time, she addressed the general manager Kurt Angle’s performance.

In case you don’t know, last year, team Smackdown defeated team Raw in the traditional tag team elimination match from the men’s division. Stephanie did not forget it, for sure. Plus, the blue brand has already made a bigger impact with the Raw invasion angle, last week. So, the billion dollar princess was quite unhappy with this.

As per confirmations made by Stephanie McMahon, afterwards, Kurt Angle will be the one to lead his team at the Survivor Series PPV. He has been given the duty of taking his team to the victory path, this year. Also, it is to be noted that a huge stipulation was added to this contest.

If by any means the Raw GM remains unsuccessful to come out as the winner at the last dual brand PPV of the year then, his job will be in jeopardy. Stephanie clarified that she would find a new GM for WWE Raw if Kurt fails.

With this news getting confirmed, it is quite evident that Shane McMahon would not lag behind to add himself into the mix. He admitted how determined the Raw brand is to pick up a win at the event which declares the brand supremacy.

So, on the opening segment, Shane-o-mac confirmed himself to be the new team captain for team blue. Previously, Randy Orton got selected for the spot, last week. With Shane added to the match, we will get to see a renewal of Kurt Angle vs Shane McMahon rivalry from the last decade. The decision is quite an exciting one for the fans.

For now, team Raw has only two members who are Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman. As for the team Smackdown goes, there is just one spot remaining in the squad. The four announced members are Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.
