The star cast of Total Divas will go through major changes as reported earlier. Rusev and Lana will be missing the show when the next season airs, as per the earlier reports. Plus, Ronda Rousey will feature as the mainstay attraction from season 9 onwards. So the need for the other prime attractions might have finished. This is why Brie and Nikki Bella will more be appearing on the show.
As per the reports from the Pro-Wrestling Sheet, Brie and Nikki Bella are not on the star cast list of Total Divas season 9. They are likely to focus more on their spin-off series named Total Bellas. So the last season was the final time that we witnessed The Bella Twins on this show that they made famous. Back in 2013, the first episode aired with Nikki Bella being the prime attraction.
Over the years, Total Divas allowed her to be more of a mainstream celebrity name around the globe. Currently, Brie and Nikki Bella have been able to present themselves as a whole brand. They are not only women’s wrestlers any more but also global representatives of WWE. They have their own shows, clothing lines, wine brand and much more that one can only imagine.
Nikki Bella has been part of the WWE female division for more than a decade. She had the least knowledge of wrestling after arriving in the company back in 2006. Brie Bella alongside her formed the Bella Twins team to come up with the twin magic starting from 2007 on tv programming. Since then they came a long way and built their own status despite the celebrity males in their lives.
This is where they left an impact on the ongoing women’s revolution. So no wonder why E Network handed them the Total Bellas show which would eventually grow bigger. Here’s what she had to say about the women superstars making a name for themselves in an interview, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
“So, I totally feel like it opened doors for men and other people to treat us that way. That’s what has been so amazing about the women’s revolution at WWE is we’re finally demanding respect, showing the world we’re equal to the men. I’ve noticed in the past few years of them recognizing, dropping the name ‘Diva,’ and now we’re a ‘Superstar’ like the men. A lot of that has gone away, it rarely happens now.”
