The fans were pretty happy with the news that The Hardy Boyz will be getting a rematch for the tag team championship against Sheamus & Cesaro. The General Manager, Kurt Angle let us know that it is going to be a 30-minute Ironman match for the championship at the Great Balls of Fire PPV.
Now, considering the tough competitors all these four men are, it is quite evident that the match is going to be a brutal and punishing one. The hardcore fans are already expecting that the veteran team will pick up the championship belts, yet again since they are quite accustomed to such stipulations.
However, reports from Cagesideseats.com suggested that there is no chance that the Hardy Boyz is becoming champion, again. They will put over the reigning champions in yet another A-star match to sideline themselves from the championship hunts. This will ensure that the legendary tag team part ways and goes for single title hunts.
There were many speculations about WWE putting both Matt and Jeff in singles contests ever since they have returned to their home back at Wrestlemania 33. That might happen, going forward as the summer season continues.
In addition, the veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer gave us a huge update stating that The Impact Wrestling promotion and the Hardy Boyz are approaching towards a settlement over the ‘Broken’ gimmick. So, we can very well expect to see the ‘Broken’ avatars of Hardyz in the WWE, in near future.
This might be yet another reason that they will be kept aside from the tag team title pictures. There are quite a few people who might not be aware of this bizarre gimmick of the Hardy Boyz and WWE would like to introduce them to the gimmick sans the tag titles on their waist.
Meltzer did not clarify that in which capacity the deal between Anthem and Hardy Boyz is coming to fruition. However, the turmoil between the two parties is ongoing for quite a long time favouring neither of them. So, an agreement will be a welcoming from each party’s aspect. We expect to get some more updates on this news in the near future.
