Last week, we got a brief hint of The Shield coming back after The Miz went after the group from the very beginning of the night. He taunted Roman Reigns taking the name of the former faction telling that those three might have never existed in the WWE if The Miz-tourage would have come together, five years ago.
If that was not enough, then the IC champion went right after The Big Dog following their singles match. With the help from Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, he nastily ambushed Roman Reigns until Reigns got collapsed.
The Samoan Superstar tried to seek his redemption on the trio before this week’s main event match for the Intercontinental Championship. He was able to take out both Dallas and Axel by using a chair on their back on the ramp making the affair with The Miz a fair with no number’s advantage in favour of the champion.
But, an unexpected help came up to the Hollywood A-lister when Sheamus & Cesaro showed up at the end of the match to deliver yet another assault on Roman Reigns. After delivering their pendant moves, the ambush came to an end with the trio hitting a Shield-like powerbomb on him.

Following what transpired in this segment, WWE Raw captured Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins on the same scene to close the show. It was the brightest hint of the Shield finally getting back on the same page to seek redemption against The Miz and co. Next week, we will witness a Miz TV special episode with Sheamus & Cesaro on the show where the Hounds of Justice is expected to show up and seek his redemption. It was earlier speculated the most dominant faction would be reuniting, soon.
