WWE News: The Rock Might Return To Wrestle If He Decides To Run For The Presidency

WWE universe might be starving to see The Rock in a WWE ring, soon. It has been more than a year that we have seen him on live television. His recent schedule has been so busy that he did not get the chance to show up at this year’s Wrestlemania, as well.

Going by the recent reports on him, his routine will be going to even busier than ever in the upcoming months. He expressed his desire to run for the USA president in 2020 dethroning the current one. It might come true considering the popularity he has, worldwide.

A hypothetical poll was conducted by GQ which gave him a clear advantage. The audience was clearly on his side stating that they want to see the former WWE champion taking over power from Donald Trump in the year 2020. Later, The Rock declared his intention for becoming president on a serious note,

“A year ago, it started coming up more and more,” Johnson said. “There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.’
I didn’t want to be flippant — ‘We’ll have three days off for a weekend! No taxes!”

Plus, he is much busier with the upcoming series of movies. The post production of the joint venture with WWE on Paige’s life has been started. It is expected to release in this year’s fall. Later, the Film Jumanji is also set for release during the year end.

With that being said, it is pretty clear that he is not intending to show up in the WWE, anytime soon. However, as per WWE legend, Jim Ross, once he officially declares to run for president role, he will return to the squared circle for one last time. It will be a reconnecting process with The People in a great way. This is JR’s comments:

“If he runs for President, he may come back for one more match to reconnect with that audience.”

Considering how Donald Trump came into power defeating a renowned politician, Hilary Clinton, The Rock does stand a chance to change the course in 2020. He did not back down from attacking the current president by commenting the below:

“We all have issues, and we all gotta work our s*** out. And I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out.”
