Full details on Roman Reigns Wrestlemania season appearances
As reported earlier, WWE has already planted the seeds for his comeback match. It is most likely to happen at the Fastlane pay-per-view event on this Sunday Night. The Shield is most possibly reuniting one more time to take care of business for the prime heels on the roster. But there’re still some doubts around this reunion.
John Pollock of PostWrestling.com hinted that The Shield is definitely reuniting for one more time in the near future. He has not confirmed when it happens exactly. But as hinted by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the trio could team up with Braun Strowman against Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, and Elias in an eight-man tag team match.
But there’s a contradictory report, as well. The local ads for the Fastlane pay-per-view are advertising a different match that wipes out The Shield reunion, for now. The Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio is promoting a match with a significantly different lineup that does not have the three most popular names on the match card, together.
As per the current ad, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to team up against Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin. It will be a two-on-three handicap match among these two teams leaving Dean Ambrose out of the equation. Wrestling Observer further added that the creative team is yet to finalize the match for Fastlane.
Apparently, retaining Dean Ambrose on WWE Raw might be the main reason behind this dilemma. WWE has already confirmed that he is leaving around the month of April. But with Roman Reigns back on the scene, it’s high time that he addresses the issue and save his buddy from stepping into the independent scene. Thereby, it could lead up to a one-on-one match at Wrestlemania 35.
Leaving Dean Ambrose from the Fastlane match will continue an angle where he still possesses bad blood against his buddies. This could lead to a match for the Lunatic Fringe against The Big Dog and thus making him relevant to the WWE Raw roster. As of now, it’s pure speculation whether this angle could force him to re-sign with the WWE. We are likely to find out more on this when WWE Raw airs tonight from Philadelphia.
