Following the brand extension draft, last year, WWE Smackdown Live came up with the idea of hosting a weekly talk show once the main show gets over. The superstars of the blue brand used to get on board for this talk-show to speak their hearts out making this one as one of the most popular shows on the award-winning WWE Network. This used to give the superstars more time on WWE TV to speak their hearts out.
However, from this point onwards, they will no longer be able to use the platform, anymore, as the show has been pulled off from the WWE programming, abruptly. It was earlier noted by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com that WWE is planning to cancel the WWE Network-exclusive program in the near future.
Making the report true, WWE officially announced that the show will no more take place following Smackdown Live from now onwards. They released an official statement for the same which stated:
“We continuously review WWE Network’s programming line-up based on a variety of factors, including viewership and subscriber research. Talking Smack and Raw Talk will air following pay-per-view events, and Tuesday will continue to feature 205 LIVE.”
Really disappointed about #TalkingSmack. We tried to make that show great. Guess I’ll go back to welcoming my guest at this time.

The good news for the fans and superstars is that Talking Smack will not be entirely cancelled from WWE programming. Rather, it will be hosted after every Smackdown-exclusive PPVs. This is the same way that the Raw Talk show is being hosted after every single Raw-brand PPVs. So, we can expect to get the next edition of the show once the Battleground PPV is over on this July 23rd.
Meanwhile, the fans are quite upset after getting the news. This is the show that was a much-anticipated one for them. Major storylines witnessed fallouts on the show with superstars like Kevin Owens or The Miz dropping bombshells without any sort of restriction which was the speciality of it.
Check out the reactions of the fans and superstars all over the social media after the news of the same broke out:
