WWE News: The Undertaker Confirmed for Greatest Royal Rumble Event 1

The match card of the Greatest Royal Rumble event has turned out to be one of the all-time best.

Initially, it was supposed to be a live event in Saudi Arabia which later got converted into a special night for the fans. With so many legendary names on the card, the show was also confirmed to get aired on WWE Network, as well.

The capacity has now been made even bigger with the Undertaker getting inserted into it. The rumours of the same were there for a long time which was on the hold. Now that the greatest performer ever returned to in-ring competition at Wrestlemania, he is likely to be seen in more matches in the future.

At the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble event, The Undertaker is now scheduled to face Rusev in a special stipulated match. After a long time, we will witness a ‘Casket Match’ featuring the originator himself. The Brothers of Destructions have made this match their pendant.

Check out the details of this mouth-watering bout officially announced by WWE.com,

“Following his triumphant return at WrestleMania, The Undertaker™ will take on Rusev™ in a Casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, which takes place at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27 at 7 PM AST.

The object of a Casket match is for a WWE Superstar to trap their opponent inside the casket and close the lid. The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.”

The Undertaker was previously rumoured to feature in the Greatest Royal Rumble match, itself.

The who’s who of the WWE is set to lock horns in this one of a kind match where 50 names will be seen competing. To make the card even more stacked, his inclusion was needed.

However, now he will feature in a first-ever match that has never been hosted in the WWE, before this.

As per the previous speculations, we were in serious doubts whether The Undertaker would return to in-ring competition, ever. Now that he showed up and squashed John Cena like only he can, perhaps more appearances would be reserved for him in 2018.
