WWE News: Three Extreme Rules PPV Matches to Get Official on WWE Raw 1
courtesy WWE.com

Extreme Rules is less than two weeks away counting from tonight. The PPG Paints Arena is coming up with the most extreme night of the year.

Each of the matches from the Pittsburgh venue will take place in a stipulated environment. The stakes are much higher this year since both WWE Raw and Smackdown Live will participate in it.

The flagship show has not announced the marquee matches from their side to date. So it is likely that they will do the same on tonight’s show. We expect announcements of three contests at least for Extreme Rules on WWE Raw.

Tonight the show will come live from Sioux Falls in South Dakota that should set the course for the PPV.

Center of attention of WWE Raw would be the rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley. They are set to attend mandatory career counseling sessions, or else Kurt Angle will fire both of them. The intensity is much higher in this feud that would set up a PPV match on July 15th.

These two have a rich history back from NXT. An Ironman match changed the course for the women’s division. Considering this in mind, we can expect to have a second version of the match or a first-time ever Extreme Rules match between these ladies. It is going to be huge news for the ongoing Women’s Evolution.

There’re no confirmations on the number one contender’s match for the Universal Championship. The multi-person is not going to happen, at all. WWE is on the verge of giving a push to Roman Reigns now that Summerslam is coming up. So he will receive a shot to the title once again.

Current storyline angle suggests Roman Reigns vs Bobby Lashley should happen at Extreme Rules. The GM should confirm this on tonight. These two are main-eventers from WWE Raw. Hence a regular matchup would not be good enough for them. There must be an interesting stipulation added to it.

Speaking of a stipulation, it brings us to another match between Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman. The latter one is beating the hell out of Owens for the last couple of weeks. The host venue of Extreme Rules hints he will get another chance at the PPV event. A steel cage match is on the making between these two. It should be official by the end of tonight.
