Elimination Chamber is in the history books of the WWE. We are now heading towards Wrestlemania 35 in full-speed ahead. Only one roadblock is waiting on the road in the form of Fastlane pay-per-view event. This one will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10th.
Multiple championships will be on the line on that night. WWE already confirmed two of them on this past edition of WWE Smackdown Live while WWE Raw is yet to do so. The current match card for Fastlane 2019 stands as follows,
WWE Championship Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
Shane McMahon & The Miz vs. The Usos
The recent reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that a number of matches will make their ways into Fastlane match card. They mentioned three particular matches that the McMahons will eventually confirm on the upcoming episodes of both WWE Raw and Smackdown. All of them will take place over titles.
The first match will be Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax & Tamina for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Two NXT superstars will also get the chance to compete at Fastlane. The Revival vs. DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships is likely to happen.
Also, Asuka vs. Mandy Rose should be in the Fastlane match card for the Smackdown women’s championships. Mandy has defeated Asuka in a surprising way on this past episode hinting that a feud is coming up. This pinfall win might earn the Golden Goddess her first title opportunity in a PPV event.
As for as the WWE Raw tag team championships, The Revival is bringing back the prestige back to these belts. There is a lack of relevant names for them as the opponents. So it is a good decision to keep DIY on the main roster for the time being. They have already defeated the champions on Raw to hint that a match is happening at Fastlane.
Also, Sasha Banks and Bayley are waiting for their first opponents over the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. As per the storyline updates, Nia Jax and Tamina were the first teams they had a confrontation on WWE Raw. So this is understandable that the officials want these two heels to face the history-making champions at Fastlane.
