So spoilers are out following this week’s taping that suggests huge championship change happening on the show. Aleister Black is no more the reigning champion on the developmental territory.
This man is having a rivalry with the biggest heel of the WWE NXT, Tommaso Ciampa over the prime title on the brand. Black had successfully defeated Lars Sullivan in the bygone NXT Takeover: Chicago event.
But a new feud (Black vs Ciampa) continued, and we expected a brand new match between them at the upcoming NXT special in Brooklyn, New York.
But the equation changed drastically when the sadistic heel challenged the champion for a title match at this week’s WWE NXT tapings. Black agreed to it, and the match was underway, all of a sudden.
In the end, Ciampa was the one who had the last laugh and walked out of the building with the title.

A shenanigan in between the match helped the cold-blooded star to reach the top of the NXT brand. His nemesis, Johnny Gargano appeared interfering the match at one point. He delivered a superkick to Ciampa and hit Black with the belt. But the challenger was quickly back in his fit to throw Gargano outside the ring.
He then hit Angel’s Wing on Black to capture his first WWE NXT Championship. The fans in attendance of the tapings posted pictures and videos from the chaotic scene of the match that might have changed the course of the brand for good. Plus, it would also affect the main roster once Summerslam passes by.
The question now stands what should be the fate of the WWE NXT Championship, right now? With Gargano interfering in the match, he should also be in the title match at the upcoming NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event making it a triple threat encounter.
Or else, it might just be just a singles competition between Black and Ciampa in a rematch.
Meanwhile, it also clears the way for Black and Gargano to enter the main roster following Summerslam. Ciampa would be the one to rule the NXT scene with the title in hand, whereas, his contemporaries will enter the big league.
Currently, these are just pure speculations. First, we are eager to see the championship change on TV when WWE NXT airs next on July 25th on the WWE Network.
