Torrie Wilson was a former female talent in the WWE who was never considered to be a championship material in the company. She got promoted into the WWE shows for skin-show purposes. During her heydey, there’s nobody in the female locker room that could match up to her glam quotient.
At that time during the Attitude Era and the beginning of the Ruthless Aggression Era, her presence was greatly appreciated by the WWE Universe. Back in those days, the Divas got used for only eye-candy purposes, and there was nobody better than Torrie Wilson. She was one of the prime reason why those kinds of pillow fights and skimpy clothing matches were made famous.
So, it was quite evident that the former WWE Diva was called to feature on the cover of the Playboy Magazine. Torrie is one of those few names in the company which was called by the famous magazine. Plus, she is also the only one to feature on the cover of Playboy on two different occasions.

In 2003, she had a solo cover, whereas, the next year, she accompanied another Diva, Sable. So, it’s no wonder why the former Bombshell Diva owed a lot to the founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner. He has passed away, recently at the age of 91 on September 27th leaving millions of admirers around the world and Torrie Wilson is certainly one of them.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Torrie stated Huge Hefner was a genius who helped her to get to the next level in her career. Check out her words, here:
“It definitely helped my popularity while I was with the WWE. It was a huge opportunity for me and brought me up to the next level.
He was always a very gracious sweet guy. I can’t say I had a close super close personal relationship with him, but I met him on numerous occasions, and he was always he was always very sweet.”
Genuinely, featuring on the Playboy cover took her fame to the very next level and also helped WWE to sell their products using Torrie, every single week on their show. So, Hefner was named the genius by the Diva,
“He was a genius and a pioneer, and nobody can really take that away from him, he was really a pioneer.”
Torrie has transformed into a fitness guru and a web-based blogger. As for Hefner, his ashes were kept just beside the Marilyn Monroe in the Westwood Memorial Park.
