Survivor Series, the last big PPV of the year, will be held at the Full Sail University in Toronto, Canada. The show where both Raw and Smackdown will take part will be held on November 20th. The hype for the show has already been started with Goldberg and Brock Lesnar match-up.
Plus, a big return was announced in part of the WWE NXT when WWE announced that former WWE Women’s champion Mickie James will be returning for the NXT Takeover special to square off against the NXT women’s champion, Asuka. The Takeover event will be held one day prior to the PPV i.e. 19th November. This is going to be another big addition to the Women’s roster in a time when the Women’s revolution is in full-force.
However, WWE’s original choice was not Mickie James but it was someone even bigger. Toronto is the hometown for the WWE Legend and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. So, WWE contacted her to appear as Asuka’s opponent. She was supposed to be the crowd puller from her hometown for the special edition of NXT.
But, Trish Stratus announced her pregnancy earlier and hence WWE had to cancel the idea of making an appearance. She was ready to appear not only for one match but a continued feud for the NXT women’s championship. Since she is unable to compete, WWE came up with the name of Mickie James.
Trish herself was interested in having some matches with the Women’s revolution going all over the WWE. With her yoga sessions, she is quite ready to compete inside the squared circle and is in complete shape. However, Mickie James is not a bad choice either and we can expect an incredible match between the reigning champion and the veteran Diva, who has performed all around the pro-wrestling circuit.
