WWE previously confirmed plethora of names that would be appearing to grace the WWE Raw 25th anniversary. Apart from the behemoth names from the men’s division that made the company that it is today, there will be plenty of names from the older women’s roster, as well. It would certainly give us a throwback to the previous days like the Attitude Era or the Ruthless Aggression Era.
Now, the women’s division will not be completed with Trish Stratus who is often considered, as the benchmark performer for the female division. When it comes to the young talents, they always like to idolize this particular woman who is a seven-time women’s champion and a pioneer on her rights.
Back then, when the Divas were used as the oomph factor in WWE programming, she stood along showing great in-ring technics. Despite featuring in some of the much-needed skin show segments, this Canada-native did not forget that she is a wrestler and went on to have a Hall of Fame career.
Recently, WWE has confirmed that the all-time great will make her presence felt on WWE TV after a long time. The announcement came all of a sudden which suggests that Trish Stratus might have given the nod to this appearance at the very last moment.
After retiring from the WWE in 2006, the great in-ring performer returned to the squared circle for multiple occasion in a wrestling capacity. She also had a match at Wrestlemania 27 which was her last in-ring appearance. Later, WWE inducted her into the Hall of Fame back in 2013. It was her last show-up in the WWE, as the youngest candidate to get inserted into the prestigious club of the WWE.
So, she is coming back to her home after five years. It will be interesting to see whether the company uses her for a Royal Rumble appearance, as well.
