WWE News: Twitter Reaction after Failed Money in the Bank Cash-In by Baron Corbin
Aug 16, 2017 at 4:08 PM
We have witnessed a surprising end to Smackdown Live by the virtue of an impromptu cash-in by Baron Corbin.
Most of the reports suggested that he will cash it in on the Summerslam night or after that. But, in a shocking turn of events, this moment was preponed and turned out to be a failed attempt.
The main event match was contested between John Cena and Jinder Mahal on the show which was the first-ever matchup. Baron Corbin decided to interfere into the contest by attacking his Summerslam opponent which also led to the disqualification of the match. He was about to leave the ring after putting down both the participants of the match.
However, he came back and decided to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase after seeing that Jinder was still unmoved after Cena hit him with an AA off the second rope. The fans witnessed a mark out moment thinking that it will be a coronation of a new champion.

John Cena was still present at ringside and turned out to be the distraction for The Lone Wolf. Jinder Mahal capitalized with a simple roll up to pick up the win and retaining the title. Corbin realized that he was literally robbed in a move that perhaps is the worst cash in ever in the history of the Money in the Bank.
With last night’s happening, the contract possessed have now been wasted for three times. The first time it was John Cena in the year 2012 when he decided to cash it in against CM Punk. Big Show interfered to make the match disqualified. Damien Sandow was the second superstar who had a failed attempt by squaring off in a match against John Cena again.
It is interesting to note that all three times in these failed attempts, the Cenation Leader was present in some capacity. Meanwhile, Corbin is no longer the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. The Twitter-verse has reacted to this incident. You can check some of them, here:
