Hell in a Cell PPV is getting heated up with multiple new announcements. WWE Raw already confirmed two championships matches for the upcoming PPV show to hype it up. Now it was the turn of Smackdown to confirm two more matches for the gimmick based event. One of the announced matches will take place inside the steel structure that never fails to punish.
Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton are in the middle of a rivalry since the beginning of the summer. The latter name returned on Smackdown Live at the Extreme Rules PPV event. He went right after the former United States Champion for no reason whatsoever. It confirmed a sudden heel-turn for the Apex Predator of the WWE.
Randy Orton beat the hell out of Jeff Hardy on Smackdown for the past few weeks. The younger Hardy backfired on last week’s episode where he sought revenge on The Viper. He delivered Swanton Bomb on his opponent through a table outside the ring. He arrived on last night’s show to throw a challenge for Orton at Hell in a Cell.
The 13-time world champion is familiar with the Hell in a Cell structure better than anybody in the WWE. So he dared to step into it with Jeff Hardy. Furthermore, he promised to erase the Charismatic Enigma character from the WWE, forever. WWE.com confirmed this mega match with the following statements after this,
“Will Hardy finish what Orton started when the two step inside the unforgiving structure that is Hell in a Cell, or will The Viper strike yet again and take down the first of many heroes to come? Find out when the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event streams, live on the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Sept. 16!”
This Smackdown feud has reached to the maximum limit and Hell in a Cell is the most appropriate place to have proper culmination. There would not be any interference with a No-DQ environment. Another match seemed almost official between Charlotte and Becky Lynch at Hell in a Cell.
Charlotte retained her Smackdown women’s championship against Carmella last night. After this, Becky Lynch arrived on the scene to announce that she is getting a title shot at Hell in a Cell. He never received her contractual singles contest at Summerslam. So, it’s just a matter of moment that WWE confirms this match.
