McMahon family has put WWE trending around the internet from this week’s WWE Raw.

They announced the first-ever women’s PPV event in October. But before that, we will have the biggest event of the summer. As of now, we received two new matches from WWE Raw for this PPV event in August.

The first one is the Intercontinental Championship rematch from Extreme Rules. Seth Rollins will receive another opportunity to capture the Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler. It is happening despite the champion having a successful defence at the bygone PPV.

This week’s WWE Raw witnessed a tag team match where Ziggler teamed up with McIntyre against Rollins and Balor. The Architect hit the Stomp on Ziggler to get the pinfall. It automatically earned him yet another shot for the title that he made prestigious ever since Wrestlemania 34.

So, Kurt Angle gave him the opportunity without a doubt. After this, WWE.com confirmed this contest,

“At SummerSlam, The Kingslayer is poised to knock Dolph Ziggler off his throne in a highly-anticipated Intercontinental Championship rematch. Will The Architect overcome The Showoff and his imposing friend to finally recapture the illustrious gold? Don’t miss what is sure to be an explosive Intercontinental Championship showdown at SummerSlam, Sunday, Aug. 19, at 7 ET/4 PT, streaming live on the WWE Network!”

There will be another rematch from Extreme Rules at Summerslam. Braun Strowman will face Kevin Owens, and the notable point is that the match is happening as per Owens’ demand. We have not forgotten what Strowman has done to Owens over the course of last two months on WWE Raw.

Kevin Owens wanted to seek redemption against the Monster by taking the MITB briefcase from him. He kept this idea to none other than Stephanie McMahon. The commissioner of WWE Raw liked the idea and sanctioned this. It means that if Owens pull off the win somehow, then he will become new MITB winner.

Previously, the MITB briefcase changed hands for only once in the history of WWE. Edge snatched it from Mr Kennedy to cash it in on the Undertaker and became the new world heavyweight champion.

So, Owens does have a chance to repeat the history especially considering his heel antics.
