WWE News: The Undertaker Downplayed His In-Ring Return 1

The Undertaker has been a constant name at the Wrestlemania event for the last 17 years. This constant service from the legend might not be available this year following his loss at the hands of Roman Reigns, last year. He left his in-ring gears inside the ring that it was the last match of his career. But, no official statement was released to confirm it.

So, the speculations have been there for a return of the Undertaker especially now that the Wrestlemania season has picked up. We have thought that the same buildup will start on WWE Raw 25th anniversary. But, the confusion remained the same on his career with a promo that meant nothing. The fans got the least hint whether he intends to wrestle, again or not.

This is good for the company since the interest is kept among the fans about the potential in-ring return for the Deadman. So, the dream match against John Cena remains in serious jeopardy despite both of them being available for this contest. The creative team about the same has given no signal.

Meanwhile, The Phenome has appeared for a fan meet, recently. It was the first off-screen show-up for the Brothers of Destruction. Undertaker and Kane were seen together for the latter one’s Mayoral campaign. So, some of the lucky fans did get the opportunity to catch up with ‘Taker and go on to pick up his brain.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com provided an update regarding the event where he stated that the fans were not able to know anything from the man in-concern, at all. The Undertaker was downplaying his return from the very beginning.

Every time, a fan went on to ask him about the potential in-ring return at Wrestlemania, he did not give any hopes. Rather, he advised them not to wait for it. It would never happen, according to the words of the Undertaker. (quotes courtesy Ringsidenews.com)

“He did a signing in Knox County Tennessee with Kane to help promote Glenn Jacobs for mayor. Apparently, Kane and The Undertaker are close. There are some fans asking him about returning and why he could very well have been working them.

He gave the impression of “don’t hold your breath, don’t wait for that one,” but we will see. If I was The Undertaker and I was returning certainly, I would want to keep the mystique and aura going.”

This is a valiant effort from the Phenome to cover up the much-anticipated comeback so that it gets the biggest reaction from the crowd. Apparently, it might happen to set up the inevitable match against John Cena. This might happen on the Smackdown brand considering that the franchise player has recently moved towards the blue brand.
