Wrestlemania season will kick-start with the Royal Rumble PPV, set to take place on January 29. But prior to that, the WWE has to make a proper build-up for the dual brand PPV, this month. Since this year will mark the 30th anniversary of the Royal Rumble event, the WWE is keeping no stone unturned to make this event unsuccessful. Goldberg and Brock Lesnar’s names are being used to promote the event and now two more legends will be appearing on Raw next week to hype up the PPV.
As per reports from wrestlingINC.com, on the second episode of Monday Night Raw in the year 2017 i.e. on January 9, we will witness the return of the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. The news was leaked while an advertisement was published on Facebook to promote the night. The night will be hosted at the Smoothie King center in New Orleans, Los Angeles.
As for appearance of the HBK, we are confirmed he will be a guest star on Raw to promote his next movie. He is set to appear in a movie named “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone” which will release on January 20. Hence, this appearance is purely on the basis of promoting the movie.
As in the case of the Undertaker, he’ll most likely make a big announcement for the Royal Rumble PPV.
However, the Undertaker was supposed to be a part of the Smackdown brand since he appeared on the 900th episode in the month of November. So, it’s not clear whether he will be a part of Raw as well. No announcement has been made by the WWE till now.
