The WWE fans must be familiar with the name of Bobby Lashley who used to be a superstar under the promotion back in the last decade. He signed with the company back in the year 2004 and managed to achieve quite a lot in his career cementing a string run in the mid-card level.

However, he never got run with the prime title present in the company.

He debuted in the developmental territory known as Ohio Valley Wrestling which became extinct, later.

Arriving on the main roster, he had a huge start by defeating JBL to win the United States Championship in 2006. Going forward, he went to become Intercontinental Champion, as well and main-event PPVs with John Cena, too.

At Wrestlemania 23, he was the name who battled against Umaga representing Donald Trump in the infamous Battle of the Billionaires.

His career was soaring high, at one point which landed straight on the ground that forced him to get out of the company. He left with a lot of bitterness in mind suggesting that he will not re-sign, ever.

Bobby Lashley had a battle with Batista in 2006 Smackdown show.

However, in recent times, a lot of positive updates were given about him finally coming back to the WWE for one final run.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter was the one to discuss his career and noted that chances are bigger, that the former superstar finally decided to come back this year.

According to the veteran journalist, the former ECW Heavyweight Champion’s current contract will be over around the Wrestlemania season. He is under the Impact Wrestling banner, right now but not willing to renew it. Hence, a predictable run in the WWE can be expected in the near future.

If Bobby Lashley does not want to sign with the WWE then he will not be looking to continue his pro-wrestling career, anymore. Rather, he will be looking forward to making a name for himself in the MMA industry.

In case you don’t know, the 245-pound behemoth does belong to the Bellator MMA promotion, as well and fought in a number of MMA fights.

If WWE does intend to work with him, once again then it is likely that there will be a deal with Bellator and WWE much like Brock Lesnar’s UFC deal.
