Brock Lesnar is considered to be the unstoppable force in the WWE who cannot be pinned or submitted by a regular name. The only time he suffered a clean loss at the hands of somebody was at Survivor Series 2016. This was when Goldberg returned to the company after a hiatus of thirteen long years. But, he was back on track by beating the returnee at Wrestlemania 33.
Going forward, he held the Universal Championship for one long year which is the longest reign with the prime title present in the red brand. He will defend it against Roman Reigns at this year’s Wrestlemania 34. This is considered to be the main event match of this year’s show which would close the show. The challenger is the favourite one to win this match dethroning the title-holder from his reign.
There’s a strong reason why this might happen. At this point, Brock Lesnar is almost confirmed to leave the WWE following Wrestlemania. He is said to be signing a new deal with the UFC promotion that will take him back under the MMA banner, once again. This is yet to be finalised, but the WWE creative team has started planning to keep this departure in mind.

This is why, the Universal Champion is being portrayed as the one who is a part-timer who does not care for the company, at all. With this storyline, the fans are giving negative reactions to his appearance. So, in case, he does leave, the WWE Universe would care less about him. According to the reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the officials are willing to go this exact way. (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE officials are going with the idea that Brock is leaving when his contract expires, and the mentality right now is to downplay him on his way out the door so that it does leave it won’t seem like such a big loss.
The plan is to set it up so that fans celebrate Brock’s departure, as opposed to feeling like the company just lost one of their top stars.”
The fan backlash around Brock Lesnar started at the post-Elimination Chamber episode of WWE Raw from Anaheim. The beast incarnate decided to skip the show despite being advertised to have a face-off with the number one contender, Roman Reigns. The latter one cut a fired-up promo, on that night regarding this absence which helped to generate more negative impact on the people. The situation is likely to stay in the same way until we get to Wrestlemania.
