WWE News: Update On Cesaro Suffering A Dental Injury 1

At the No Mercy PPV, the WWE Raw tag team championships were on the line as the reigning champions defended it against the team of Sheamus and Cesaro. The former champions deserved a rematch for the title after Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose became the new tag champs at Summerslam. So, the rematch clause was invoked for the No Mercy PPV.

Considering each of the individuals in this match, it is needless to say that the match turned out to be entirely physical. For the most of the match, the champions were assaulted by the contenders. But, a miscommunication cost them to a certain extent and allowed the title-holders to retain.

Perhaps, the over-enthusiasm cost Sheamus and Cesaro as the latter one suffered a brutal concussion during the match. Ambrose catapulted him into the corner. Due to his excitement, he went to oversell the movie. He could have fallen to the covered ring turnbuckles.

But, he chose to jump a bit more and smashed his mouth to the hard ring-post. Two of his front-teeth got shatter causing bleeding on the spot which was non-friendly to WWE PG TV. The Swiss Superman did not slow down a bit despite the injury and completed the matchup.

As reported later, the injury might have been a bit more than initially thought. We have seen WWE Superstars losing their teeth due to physical encounters on numerous occasions. They fix it up as quickly as possible. But, in this case, Cesaro got his teeth bumped into his upper gum causing double pain.

He had to receive three stitches to his bottom lip to stop bleeding whereas the inserted teeth have to be removed from the gum. For about three to four mm, the upper tooth was pushed into. WWE Doctor Daquino stated the following about Cesaro’s condition,

“The next step is for him to see a maxillofacial surgeon today, most likely removing the teeth and then having some implants made. So hopefully we will have him up and run after Tuesday or so.”
Hopefully, he will not have to be out of action and start performing from next week onwards.
