WWE News: Update On Chris Jericho’s Return On Smackdown Live 1

At this time, Chris Jericho is extremely busy with his musical band, Fozzy’s tour. They have just released the new singles named ‘Judas’ and the promotional tour will continue for the entire month of May. Most of the metropolitan cities around the United States will be a part of the tour.

The United Kingdom fans will also be getting the “Gift of Jericho” since the group will be visiting the overseas, as well. Three dates are reserved in the month of June where they will be performing in the UK. As per the recent updates, the musical tour is supposed to come to an end on June 28th. On that night the band will conclude their program by doing a show in Seattle, Washington.

The interesting news is that the WWE fans certainly can expect him to be back in the WWE, just after that. The company’s latest published Live Event schedule included Chris Jericho from June-end onwards.

WWE is promoting Y2J’s appearance on the house shows on June 30th and July 1st. On those dates, WWE will be visiting their annual tour of Japan. For the last two years, WWE is heading to the east to entertain the fans, there. This year will be no exception, as well.

However, it is to be noted that it’s not clear whether he will return to the WWE TV i.e. on Smackdown Live or not. Previously in 2015, he has signed an exclusive deal with the company to do only house shows while performing with Fozzy. This time too, he might go for such deal.

The WWE creative, on the other hand, will be reluctant to bring him back on the blue brand considering the lack of star power. He would be the greatest attraction on the show, going forward. Nobody can deny the fact that his presence on Monday Night Raw following WWE Draft saved the show. The exact thing can be done to Smackdown, as well.

The rumour mill suggests there’s a certain possibility of him showing up at the Money in the Bank PPV to cost Kevin Owens from grabbing the briefcase or costing the United States title to AJ Styles. No matter what, Chris Jericho returning to WWE will receive the biggest pop.
