WWE News: Update Of Finn Balor’s Possible Return Date And Wrestlemania Opponent
Finn Balor was the overall number five draft pick during the WWE Draft while coming to the main roster. He was given a major push upon his debut on Raw when he earned the right to compete in the first-ever Universal championship match. He ended up being the winner of the prime title present on Raw which also made him the face of the brand. However, an unfortunate injury shelved all the plans for him as he got sidelined after Summerslam for an indefinite time.
He was going through a rehab process for quite some time now and was expected to make his presence felt during the Royal Rumble match. As per his cryptic indications on the social media, he was expected to be the number 30 entrant. However, it did not happen and he was replaced with Roman Reigns.
Fans were much disappointed with this and have started to speculate if he even competes at Wrestlemania or not. The recent reports from No-DQ.com indicated some positive news for his fans which said that he is very much on the Wrestlemania planning of the WWE. As per the current happening, he will soon make his return on Raw. The speculated time is either at the beginning of March i.e. either on Fastlane or the very next episode of Raw.
The below updates were given by the source:
“In an update from Balor’s evaluation, Dave Meltzer reports that he was not cleared. Balor’s targeted date for his return has always said to be early March. As of this writing, Balor is expected to appear at WrestleMania in some capacity but it is unknown who his scheduled opponent might be for the event.”
If Kevin Owens continues to claim his hold on the Universal title then Balor is the automatic choice to claim it upon his return. He has not lost the championship and relinquished it the very next day after winning it.
On the other hand, if Owens loses the title on his way to Wrestlemania then Balor might be a surprise opponent for Triple H at the grandest stage, as well. We might get a clear picture after WWE Fastlane gets past us.
