Dean Ambrose is known as the workhorse of the WWE who never gets tired of competing in matches. He has made quite a name for himself with the ‘never-say-die’ attitude on every single match that he performs. But, this might have cost the superstar big time as he suffered an elbow injury on this bygone edition of WWE Raw following an accidental, suicidal dive by Seth Rollins.
Now, the former WWE Champion was one of the most dependable workers for the WWE official for the past few years who have competed for more number of matches than any of the superstars present in the current WWE locker room. He was scheduled to be one of the main eventers in the upcoming Holiday season, as well.
But, as reported by WWE.com, the elbow injury took a big toll after getting diagnosed by the WWE officials. As per the head doctor of the medical team, Dr. Chris Amann, Dean Ambrose will require a surgery on his right elbow to get rid of this tricep tear. Check out the official updates,
“An MRI has shown suspicion for a high-grade triceps tendon injury, possibly a tear, so he is undergoing surgical exploration and most likely surgical repair of the torn triceps tendon,” WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “That surgery will be happening later this evening, and we should have some further updates either later tonight or tomorrow morning as to what the findings were, what the structures that were damaged were, and also a timeline for recovery.”
Further updates from PWInsider.com suggested that the Lunatic fringe was dealing with a right elbow injury for a long time. This was the reason why he was sporting a heavily taped arm for the past couple of episodes of WWE Raw and live events. But, the injury got worse after working with the concussion and will need to be surgically repaired.
So, it’s needless to say that Dean Ambrose will miss a significant amount of time from the WWE in-ring competition. The time span of him being unavailable from WWE programming will be let known following the surgery. As for now, the rescheduling of live event matches will be made to cover up his absence.
