WWE News: Update on Brock Lesnar Getting Injured at Survivor Series

Brock Lesnar featured in a dream match at the bygone Survivor Series PPV.

Never before anyone imagined seeing a matchup between him and AJ Styles until WWE came up with the lineup at the very last moment. Being the two prime champions on Raw and Smackdown, they were pitted in a cross-brand match which was ‘one of a kind’. The beast incarnate went head-to-head against the phenomenal one to the delight of the pro-wrestling fans.

Being the unstoppable force in the WWE, Brock Lesnar emerged victoriously in the match but not before the WWE Champion took him to the limit. The Conqueror started the contest in an iconic fashion by taking him to the suplex city from the get-going, but Styles fought back by targeting Lesnar’s knee.

Overcoming the Calf Crusher, the Universal Champion picked up the win by hitting an F-5 to his opponent, but he was struggling with his legs while leaving the ring. Styles targeted the injured leg for the better part of the match that started the speculations the marquee player might get injured.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter was the one to report it for the first time to note that Brock Lesnar was hurt during the match against AJ Styles. However, no repercussion was needed considering the beast will be of from TV until the Royal Rumble PPV returns, next year.

But, further suggestions from cagesideseats.com stated it was nothing but a ‘work’ by Brock Lesnar as to portray that he was injured legit. Not only, he sold out the injury in front of the fans, but he continued to limp around the backstage area, as well. It left the feeling in the locker room area he was dealing with a concussion.

As per the source, the ‘reigning, defending, undisputed champion’ wanted to give his hurt impression on the entire locker room being a true veteran. So, he continued to faint the knee rupture to everyone. Considering how much it is difficult to make a ‘work’ perfect nowadays, Lesnar made it look easy to everybody and also let everyone believe in this, too. For now, he is supposed to compete in any match until the first big dual brand PPV comes by in January 2018.
