An injury scare broke out in the WWE around Charlotte Flair. She was scheduled to feature in the Mixed Match Challenge second semi-final match.
She, alongside Bobby Roode, was set to take on the team of Finn Balor and Sasha Banks to set the final match that will crown the winner of the MMC tournament.
However, a sudden announcement changed the scenario, entirely. Just a day ago of the schedule, it was announced that Charlotte Flair is dealing with an injury. Hence, she could not compete in the match with Roode.
To replace her, voting was conducted on the social media amongst Lana, Carmella and Becky Lynch. The latter one emerged as the winner and was able to take her team to the finale.
Now, the question around every WWE fan was the actual capacity of her injury and how did it actually pick up. She seemed fine even a couple of days prior to that and took part in the house shows conducted by the Smackdown Live brand. A recent report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter was able to give some updates on this.
According to it, it was a minor precaution taken to protect her mouth. Check out the updates from SportsKeeda.com,
“F4WOnline revealed that Charlotte Flair underwent minor dental surgery, and as a result had been pulled from both SmackDown Live and the Mixed Match Challenge. She had suffered an infection in her mouth last Wednesday and required the surgery to treat it.”
To assure the fans that the Queen is indeed okay, cagesideseats.com brought out another report confirming her Wrestlemania status is absolutely okay. She will be returning to Smackdown Live which is the go-home show for Wrestlemania.
Furthermore, the match between Charlotte Flair vs Asuka is intact on the card.
It is a lifetime match for some of the WWE fans over the Smackdown women’s championship. Two of the strongest forces of the women’s roster will collide in it to reign supreme on each other.
The women’s revolution will certainly be taken to a whole new level with this blockbuster showdown. One last buildup for the contest will be seen in the next episode of Tuesday Night show which will happen at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
