Brock Lesnar is absent from WWE programming since Greatest Royal Rumble event. It is unfortunate for the fans not to see him on the flagship show. He is the reigning Universal Champion. We can’t expect the fact the title-holder will not be present on a weekly basis.
It makes the championship picture stale. This particular championship run is a painful one for the WWE Universe. The sad part is that there’s no chance to end this run, soon. The champion is not going to reappear listening to the fans. He belongs to his league that’s protected by a solid contract.
We gave earlier updates on his next appearance. Brock Lesnar is nowhere near to return. He is not performing at the Money in the Bank PPV event. No such Live Events will witness his presence, as well. This schedule is quite different from the past few years. He featured in a couple of house shows, at least.
New reports on Brock Lesnar is available via Wrestling Observer Live. Bryan Alvarez has discussed the status of the champion. He addressed the constant hiatus of the beast incarnate. The contract of the WWE is the basic reason behind this.
The new contract for the Conqueror is basically a short one. It does not allow the company to use him for extended usage. So, this is not a perfect time to make him appear on the flagship show or a PPV event. He is going to grace the events once Summerslam season kicks off.
The source, however, gave a positive update on the next appearance of Brock Lesnar. Check it out courtesy SportsKeeda.com,
“Alvarez explained that although Lesnar won’t compete at WWE’s June PPV, Money In The Bank; The Beast could perform at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view which takes place in July.”
It’s good news for the fans that he is coming back from the hiatus, earlier than expected. The initial belief was that Summerslam would mark his comeback. If this report is true, then we should see him in the scene once Money in the Bank PPV is over. We have to wait and see who challenges Brock Lesnar for his title upon return.
