Goldust might have found a little rejuvenation to his career just before the Summerslam PPV. But, till date, he can’t capitalise on the transformation to the fullest. Since last year, he was a babyface superstar having a partnership with R-Truth. These two formed a tag team and used to give us some funny moments, every week.
Being the veteran superstars in the locker room, they have never been able to become the WWE tag team champions. Rather, the creative used them to put over newer guys in the locker room. This tradition continued until June when Goldust finally turned on Truth by viciously attacking him on Raw.
He blamed his partner for not getting success and assaulted him for a couple of times of the show. They had a couple of dull matches, going forward before the chapter was finally closed. However, some of the fans were pretty excited to witness the classic bizarre persona of Goldust that was an iconic one back at the Attitude Era. So, we expected something bigger for him on WWE Raw.
He even hinted the same in an episode before the biggest event of the summer declaring that he will reveal a masterpiece at the dual brand PPV. He uttered the following words, “will I find my next hero, my next villain, or perhaps a beautiful new starlet?” which was quite an intriguing tease.
Considering his volatile characteristics, over the year, the fans expected something special from him at Summerslam.

However, no revelations were made as announced and the fans kept on wondering what happened to the storyline. No other mentions of the storyline were also made in the following weeks on Raw which was a hint that the angle might have been called off by the officials.
A curious fan took his twitter handle to ask about the same. The Bizarre One noticed this and replied back suggesting that a big thing takes time to appear on TV. With this, it was confirmed that the storyline is still in progress and we will see it on the flagship show, soon. Being an interesting character, we can certainly expect a surprise element to be stored in this capacity, for sure.
