Brock Lesnar is one of those rare names in the pro-wrestling scene who always manages to stay on headlines. This happens all the time despite WWE allowing him to work only a few dates around a calendar year. This once again proves his appeal as a mainstream star around the world that garners attention, no matter what.

Now it does not come as a strange thing why Vince McMahon puts the Universal Championship belt around his waist, all the time. As much as the WWE Universe hates to see Brock Lesnar as the champion, he produces the money that McMahon wants. So his contract with WWE also matters a lot to the company.

Speaking of this brings us to the endless rumor of his WWE contract coming to an end. This is the speculation for over a year which actually did not happen. Brock Lesnar went on to renew his contract on multiple occasions ensuring the biggest paycheck for him. He might just continue to stay around with WWE’s move to Fox Sports.
As reported earlier, Smackdown will move to Fox Sports whereas Raw will stay on the USA Network. Just because, Fox wants more attention, the blue brand has now started advertising Brock Lesnar as a Smackdown star for the fall of 2019.
The source Ethan Cramer posted the following on his social media handle,
“Fox was promoting Smackdown before the Nascar race. They mentioned Brock Lesnar to be seen on Smackdown starting October 2019. Possible WWE is just using his name to bring interest to their product. Interesting to see if he stick around or appears on #SDLive.”
Ringsidenews.com mentioned this as a very interesting development. WWE did not even mention Brock Lesnar in their Summerslam promotional since they are not sure about his long-term future. Now this update from Fox Sports does hint the beast jumping shop from the red brand to the blue brand prior to October.
The above source continued hinting two interesting situations which are as follows,
“This also means that Lesnar will likely not be champion when October rolls around as well so he can make the jump from red to blue brands. There is also the possibility that WWE is just feeding Brock Lesnar’s name to Fox in an effort to gain interest as Ethan Cramer suggested.”
As mentioned earlier, WWE will want Brock Lesnar to stay around especially for Smackdown’s move to Fox Sports. The new show hosts wanted more mainstream sports oriented contents that the Universal Champion can come up with. This is why we can also expect Ronda Rousey to join the blue bandwagon at a later point. We’ll see how things unfold when Smackdown’s move gets finished.
