Asuka has been on a dream run ever since her debut in the WWE.
From the get-go, she was projected as the strongest performer available on the roster. It might be planning to build a WWE counterpart of Ronda Rousey which is a much-needed in an era of Women’s Evolution.
So, there was no doubt she would compete in a title match at Wrestlemania.
The Empress of Tomorrow was always the favourite to win the women’s, Royal Rumble. The predictions came true when she was the last woman standing in the middle of the ring after eliminating Nikki Bella. It earned her the right to challenge any one of the women’s champions at the biggest stage of them all.
Now, the name whom she is likely to challenge is still not revealed. So, unlike the Universal Championship match from the Raw division, we are yet to learn about the title match comprising the female superstars.
In addition, a twist was added during the Elimination Chamber PPV where Nia Jax was given an opportunity, too.
Considering her dominant streak, Nia Jax was pit against Asuka with the stipulation that if she wins, she will get added to the title match at Wrestlemania. Asuka did win the match, but Nia continued to lurk in the mix attacking her on WWE Raw hinting the title scenario might get changed.
It keeps all of us in confusion, too as of what the title match will actually look like. Recently, PWInsider.com provided an update regarding this situation. According to the source, the match will be contested under singles capacity which means Asuka will alone challenge Alexa Bliss for the championship, alone.
The storyline angle between these two has begun following the Elimination Chamber and is likely to continue. As far as Asuka’s undefeated streak is concerned, there is no way that it is going to break before the Wrestlemania PPV. So, she is going to win the match announced against Nia Jax on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
It will continue her indomitable run on the Raw roster. Just to match up with her persona, Alexa Bliss has a dominant outing, too at the Elimination Chamber. She pinned Sasha Banks and Bayley, consecutively to retain her championship. So, for the second consecutive year, she will walk into Wrestlemania with the title around her waist to defend against the irresistible force known as Asuka.
