WWE Total Divas is currently filming the eighth season of the show. The main star cast is still intact even after the bygone five years. The names in this list are Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Naomi, and Natalya. All of these women have been part of this scripted series from the beginning of 2013. They always have a fun time while shooting for the segments of the show.
There’s always been a significant fan backlash on WWE Total Divas. Some of the hardcore wrestling fans and critics see this one as total garbage. The nature of the show is that it focuses on the personal lives of the featured female superstars. But the scripted product ensures there might not be any basic truth of the incidents. The breakup of John Cena-Nikki Bella received some negative publicity for the same reason.
But one can’t avoid the power of the dollars. It is why the Total Divas product is getting bigger with each passing year. The mainstay name that is the Bellas received their spin-off series named Total Bellas. The Miz and his wife Maryse also got their show name The Miz and Mrs. from this year.
The main issue with Total Divas is that the figures from this program are not technically gifted in-ring athletes. Natalya is the only one who had an enriched history of wrestling in her bag. Otherwise, all of the other names are the so-called glam-dolls in the company.
Mike Johnson discussed the Total Divas topic in his PWInsider Elite Radio. He stated this issue bothered the maker during the initial time of the show. But waters went under the bridge as time progressed. This show continued to stay a mainstay product in WWE TV programming, (courtesy Ringsidenews.com),
“Is there jealousy? You know in the beginning there was a difference of, ‘well they aren’t real wrestlers they’re reality stars not like me.’ And you know AJ Lee kinda crapped on The Bellas during a talking segment about all that. I don’t think now you know it’s been on so long now and the turnover and the latent pool has been so great that it’s just seen as another way to get over and then promote the Women’s Division.”
Most of the stars do not hate the product since it helped them to receive some extra amount. The guest stars on Total Divas get $10000 for each show-ups.
Bunim/Murray and WWE are the producers who decided these extra names for the show. The original stars get millions of these dollars and will continue to do so in future.
