The fact Ronda Rousey is now a part of the WWE will undoubtedly help the promotion while gaining more mainstream viewers on a long-term basis.
This woman has been considered as one of the most iconic figures in the world of MMA sports. Not only that she is also a legendary female superstar who had dominated the scene, being one of the cornerstones of the women empowerment going around all over the world.
So, bringing her under the wings of the WWE seemed inevitable. She featured in a one-off segment at Wrestlemania 31 that became the most popular segment of the year in 2015.
Since that time, the fans wanted to see more of her on WWE TV. After waiting for almost three years, the moment finally arrived at the Royal Rumble PPV where she made a surprise appearance.
Stealing the spotlight from the women’s Rumble competitors, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion arrived on the scene to point out to the Wrestlemania sign hinting she will perform at the show. The storyline perspective was taken forward at the Elimination Chamber PPV where she appeared to sign an official contract for the flagship show.
With that being said, it is certain she is now onboard under WWE Raw and will compete in several matches for future. But to prepare herself for the pro-wrestling competition, she needs to train more on this. The moves in MMA and the WWE are different in every aspect. So, it is now confirmed currently, Ronda Rousey is training hard to get used to with the wrestling moves.
According to the reports of PWInsider.com, the former UFC superstar is over filming the Mark Wahlberg film “Mile 22” in Bogota, Columbia. After that, she reported straight to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida to get ready for her Wrestlemania match on April 8th. This film was the reason why she could not attend the training sessions even after showing up at Royal Rumble.
Going forward, huge plans should be stored for her in 2018 which includes getting Paul Heyman as her manager, just like Brock Lesnar. While speaking of the same in a recent interview with TMZ, Heyman did not want to confirm anything, though,
“Why limited the people I have my eye on to Ronda Rousey? I have my eye on anyone who’s a top box office attraction.”
