The pro-wrestling industry is talking about the future of Daniel Bryan in the WWE for a long time.

It was back during Wrestlemania 34 when the ‘miracle at Bourbon Street’ happened for a second time. In 2014, The GOAT earned the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to reach the top of his wrestling career.

Four years later, the same venue (Mercedes-Benz Superdome) witnessed Daniel Bryan returning to in-ring competition. WWE forced him to retire in 2016. He was suffering from a neck concussion for a long time since 2015. Doctors performed many surgeries around the injured place, but he failed to get out of the critical condition.

We witnessed one of the most heartbroken incidents in the WWE on the retirement day, after that. But the fighter stayed focus on his mission and eventually managed to come back to wrestling again. But the question still stands whether we could see him in the WWE for a long time, or it will come to an end following Summerslam.

We should let you know that the deal between Daniel Bryan and the WWE is coming to an end around September. So, the biggest event of the summer might turn out to be the very last appearance of the most popular superstar of this generation.

However, WrestleVotes revealed otherwise in a recent update. They disclosed that Daniel Bryan would continue his wrestling stint in the WWE even after Summerslam. WWE officials are aware of the fact that he will extend the current contract in due course. Hence they will continue to invest in his character.

Here’s the update from the source,

“Regarding Daniel Bryan and his contract: WWE has a strong idea on what he’s going to do. So much so, that months ago the decision was made to have the 2K19 Showcase mode revolve around him. Having that game release w/o Bryan on the roster wouldn’t look good. So….”

As you can see, the upcoming version of WWE 2K19 is one of the sole reasons that WWE can’t let Daniel Bryan go to other promotions. It will certainly affect their marketing campaigns now that he is set to feature in the Showcase Mode.

Plus, the WWE Super-Show-Down in MCG, Melbourne, Australia is also advertising him to be a part of the history.
