Summerslam is the second most significant event of the year after Wrestlemania. This season has come and gone as always during April.

It brought the biggest stars of the roster back together to deliver a spectacular event. We expect the same to happen at the upcoming PPV in August too.

It is one of those shows where the so-called part-timers return. However, Wrestlemania and Summerslam are the only two significant events when WWE makes bigger arrangements. They pull out all the stops to garner attention from the fans and present a worth to remember the show.

Previous reports from several sources suggested The Undertaker will wrestle more times than expected this year. He already contested at Wrestlemania and Greatest Royal Rumble event. The Madison Square Garden show also witnessed his return after eight long years.

So we can expect him to perform at Summerslam too. A recent report from a reliable source increased the chances.

Cagesideseats.com revealed the chances are high that The Deadman will perform in the PPV event in August. However, another reliable name will not be available.

The source also doubted John Cena’s status at Summerslam 2018. Here are the updates from stillrealtous.com,

“Over the last few years John Cena has been taking more and more time away from WWE, and according to CageSideSeats it’s considered more likely that The Undertaker will wrestle at SummerSlam this year than John Cena.”

WWE Raw already suffered a lot of problems due to the absence of the franchise player following Wrestlemania. It looks like they will have to deal a whole lot of this if John Cena remains absent for Summerslam.

However, if Undertaker does wrestle at Summerslam, then it would give a huge boost to the TV ratings of WWE Raw. He is likely to get involved in a storyline angle. It means he will have to appear on the TV tapings to build up the match. We are likely to learn more about this as we progress to the PPV show.
