WWE News: Update on Title Match at MITB Featuring Ronda Rousey 1

Ronda Rousey had a massive debut at the Wrestlemania PPV event. She teamed up with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

This match was perhaps the most entertaining contest of the entire match card. So most of the fans crowned Ronda to have the most impactful debut in the WWE.

There were never any doubts that bigger things will be in-store for Ronda Rousey. But we did not assume that she will receive a title shot all of a sudden at the MITB PPV event. It came surprisingly at the NBC Universal Upfronts red carpet event. Nia Jax challenged her in a match. WWE sanctioned it later to convert into the WWE Raw women’s championship match.

Both Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax penned the contract to make things official. It is going to be the first opportunity for the former UFC Bantamweight Champion to pick up a title in the WWE. Also, this is going to be the first singles match for her in a televised edition of a WWE show.

Some of the fans do believe that Ronda Rousey is the favourite to win this contest. She might not have to wait for next time to create history. A report from cagesideseats.com suggested the bout between these two behemoths is going to be a shorter one. We can expect it to ‘over in the blink of an eye’.

If this happens, then the match should go in favor of the ‘baddest woman on the planet earth’. She is not likely to suffer a quick loss at the hands of Nia Jax. It would hurt her strong image. WWE is not going to treat her like that. Whatever the match outcome should be the contest would be short.

Ronda Rousey is not a technical wrestler like the other locker room members. So she has not achieved the ability to deliver a full-time wrestling match. Nia Jax is also not considered to be a technical in-ring talent as well.

So keeping the contest short would actually favor both of them. Plus, it would create the room for the other big matches on at MITB. The match card has shaped up to be pretty much bigger with ten matches in it.
