WWE News: Update On Whether Braun Strowman Can Perform At WWE TLC 1

WWE Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced the main event of WWE TLC a few weeks ago. She booked Braun Strowman in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match against Baron Corbin with a huge stipulation. If Braun Strowman wins he earns a Universal Title shot and if Baron Corbin wins he becomes WWE Raw General Manager, permanently. Certainly, this is match with high stakes that can change the landscape of the flagship show.

But it’s needless to say that the future of this match is in jeopardy. Braun Strowman had to undergo a surgery just three weeks prior to WWE TLC PPV. He was suffering from a shattered elbow which doctors needed to fix. It’s almost impossible to recover from this concussion within just 20 days of time. So the question is whether the behemoth can show up for his scheduled match.

PWInsider.com gave an update on the current situation of this match at WWE TLC. They stated that Braun Strowman is ‘scheduled to appear at the pay-per-view, so he will be available to appear on camera.’ This does not confirm that we will see him competing in the match. Baron Corbin is already confident to pick up the win via forfeit due to the same reason.

Additional reports from WrestleVotes confirmed that Braun Strowman is in no condition to perform. In fact, he is set to miss the entire WWE Holiday Tour set from December 26th. However, WWE has found a suitable replacement for these house shows. Here’s the update from the source,

“I’m hearing Braun Strowman is still not likely to compete Sunday at TLC. So much so, that on the holiday tours, John Cena will wrestle in his place. Strowman will still appear on the holiday tour shows, just won’t work. So I can’t see him working a TLC match.”

WWE must be having a backup plan for this WWE TLC match if the monster among men remains in an incompetent condition. It is most likely that Kurt Angle will come back to have a match against Baron Corbin. The storyline will be fitting as well since the Hall of Famer is still ‘on-paper’ General Manager of WWE Raw. He should not be willing to leave this post to a villain like Corbin, for sure.
