WWE News: Update On The Planning With The Four-Horsewoman Of UFC 1

The speculations were quite high about a possible Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen match in the WWE in the recent past. This would be contested in two dominant factions of the WWE and UFC. In case you don’t know, the WWE’s faction consists of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch whereas the UFC factions are made of Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

During the Mae Young Classic tournament, we have seen a couple of confrontations between these two groups. This started the rumours rampant telling that the two teams are scheduled to face each other in a cross-brand match at the last dual brand PPV of the year, Survivor Series.

Traditionally, this is the PPV which is quite famous for tag team actions. Every year, at least one tag team action takes place which is a special Survivor Series elimination match. This year, we were supposed to get one such match comprising the best women around the circuit to take forward the Women’s revolution which was cancelled at the very last moment.

No further follow up were observed in the angle. According to the recent updates from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Creative Team is still nurturing the options as of how the proper build up for this match can be made. They are trying to come up with every single idea so that this match can be made a reality in the future.

The main problem while making the build-up is that the four horsewomen of the WWE are split across two brands, for now. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are present on Smackdown Live whereas Bayley and Sasha are on Raw. So, until and unless the dual brand PPV, Wrestlemania 34 arrives, we might not get to see the start of the storyline on WWE TV.

Recently, Sasha Banks took a shot at the UFC faction calling them phoney. This can be considered as the beginning of the storyline if the big match is on the card. Check out the quotes via cagesideseats.com,

“I got to see the picture of our Horsewomen versus the phoney Four Horsewomen. They’re fans of us. That’s why they’re called the Four Horsewomen. Honestly, I do not care. They couldn’t hang in our ring, and that’s it.”
