Sasha Banks won the Raw women’s title for the third time on Monday Night Raw, this week. This was a massive swerve that the WWE had in store for fans. The WWE Universe seemed shocked to see their favorite wrestler winning the title from the bonafide heel Charlotte, after she won it back at the Hell in a Cell PPV.

Apparently, the decision to crown Sasha Banks with the women’s title is to cement her credibility as the champion. We saw her getting hold to the title for a couple of times but losing it badly just days after. Her previous title runs were not that good and it received tremendous backlash from fans due to WWE Creative’s bad booking. However, this time we are likely to see a far better title reign with the back and neck injury not troubling her anymore.

Also, with this decision, WWE creative has also signaled to a future fued between Bayley-Sasha Banks. It is an inevitable one and is likely to be stored for the Wrestlemania season. The Boss has to turn into villain for a proper rivalry. However, her heel turn isn’t expected to to happen until Royal Rumble.

Since Raw women’s division is lacking heel characters, Banks can’t remain babyface for a longer period with the title around her waist. The condition would have been much better if a Paige had been present in the scenario. But that idea is counted out due to her career-threatening neck injury.

So, as of now, Sasha’s next opponent is expected to be going Emmalina. WWE has been promoting her vignette from the past couple of months.

As for Charlotte, she will be out of the title picture for some time. Her Wrestlemania opponent is probably going to be none other than Ronda Rousey.
