The ongoing storyline featuring Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan took an interesting turn on Smackdown Live, last week. The latter name turned out to be show-stealer as he shocked the audience. Not only he attacked Reigns from behind but also decimated his mentor, out of nowhere. This presented him as a top heel who featured in the main event segment.

Complete List Of Injured WWE Superstars At This Time

We have previously reported that sources hinted that WWE was planning a feud between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. It could have set up a fresh match at WWE Clash of Champions PPV event. But there was a swerve in the storyline where Reigns received a new opponent in the form of Rowan. He will be all alone since the ‘intellectual peer’ will not be in his corner.

Many fans are speculating whether WWE has dropped the idea of a Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns match after Rowan turned out to be the attacker, solely. However, reports from cagesideseats.com confirmed that the match is still in the creative planning process as WWE wants to host the match, at some point.

The Rock To Return On Smackdown In October 2019?

“Despite the angle on SmackDown Live, the speculation is still that Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan is the plan at some point shortly,” this is what the source has reported assuring the mouth-watering bout can still happen. WWE might just postpone the match to Hell in a Cell from the original Clash of Champions schedule.

Many fans have also been speculating that Rowan’s turn on Daniel Bryan may lead to a babyface turn for the former Intercontinental Champion, again. However, that does not seem to be the case, as of now. The Planet’s Champion should be retaining his heel persona which he made pretty much organic, these days.

Additionally, there could be more swerves in the storyline in the future. If Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns is set to happen in a future match, then there’s a chance that Bryan could indeed be the mastermind behind the attacks committed by Rowan in the past. So the troubles for Roman Reigns might not come to an end in the upcoming months. Also, hosting a match between these two veterans inside Hell in a Cell will produce a five-star match, for sure. So this is a brilliant idea sketched by the creative team.
